About the Fair
In 2007, our original event, The Scottish Bead Fair was created with two simple aims in mind. The first was to bring some of the most exciting beads, findings, bead and jewellery making equipment for sale across the country to the Scottish public in the first event of its kind north of the border. The second was to champion small and fledgling businesses as well as more established businesses.
The event is organised by Dawn Cotton Fuge of Precious Sparkle Beads, one of Scotland's leading retailers of semi-precious gemstone beads. Dawn's work has appeared in Crafts Beautiful, Make Jewellery, Quick & Crafty, Beads & Beyond, and Creative Beads & Jewellery Magazines. Her passion for beads of all kinds whilst professionally only specialising in one area inspired her to start the first event of its kind in Scotland.
Perth Concert Hall which being in the centre of Scotland is very well placed to attract attendees from the four corners of the country. The location is within 90 minutes of 90% off the population! Perth Concert Hall is located in the town centre and is easily accessed by bus and train. There is also ample free parking available nearby. The Concert Hall has an excellent cafe with a full lunch menu as well as coffee and snacks.
Our demonstrations go on throughout they day and are free of charge.
